My Cyriopagopus schmidti female likes to climb walls and ceiling of the enclosure a lot .Especially when it’s warm in the room around 78-80 degrees, she is very active. If the temperature drops to around 70 she stays inside the hole. In your opinion, is this behavior normal ? I’m thinking maybe is the enclosure size too small for her and she is trying to escape? Do you think adding some anchor points or fake plants would help? I'm just worried she might hurt herself by climbing and falling down. It happened to one of my other specimens, which fell from the ceiling and hurt leg, than released it.

Where is the heat coming from When it gets that warm? Like is there a radiator or something and it's just trying to get away from the heat?

It could be moving towards air sensations as well. I have one Tarantula obsessed by air flow / ventilation as in the wild they would use that as a sign of the burrow or hide entrance for hunting. So I plan to rehouse her with more ventilation lower down so she hopefully stops obsessing about the admittedly generous airholes at the top. A wider lower enclosure might be better. And more access to cooler damper substrate? Mine move towards the heat source but I’m in the UK.

There is a radiator about 40 inches from it. But radiator is close to the floor and the spider enclosure is on the cabinet higher
