I understand they like to do much/many of their activities on the ground which leaves me wondering what kind of enclosure would be best for one. Would a "standard"(ly acceptable) jumping spider enclosure suffice (with substrate, I assume)? Or do I need to look into something that is appropriate for species which "do both" ground-dwelling and arboreal stuff? Or even further into enclosures which are for solely terrestrial species?

Please forgive awkwardness in wording, I am new to caring for spiders so I imagine my vocabulary could use some work.

these are ground dwelling as you have well said. That right there says it all. An enclosure for terrestrials would be appropriate.

wider then taller. No need to get an arboreal enclosure. I read up on these and since they like to stick to the ground, that would be my approach. In their case, even if you provided height, it would not be a detriment. They just won’t use it.

since you know they are ground dwelling, it means you did some research. Just look into their habitat and mimic that.

Excellent! Thank you for your reply. I will do that. This will be my first jumper where they differ from the "jumper standard of care" so to speak. (Even the M. formicaria I have seems to be doing just swell with the standard jumper set up - though perhaps unsurprisingly they seem to prefer meals a fair bit smaller than them)
