Cooler than the temps you get but really hot for the UK.How hot's it supposed to get? The 7s rule is one I always think about here when I see people walking their dogs when it's 100+F out and sunny...
Hot is hot, once you get past a certain temp the dog is going to have problems. Though I guess here most people have really short haired dogs (chihuahuas are super popular...hate them lol) so that makes it a little better. But still, walking a dog, no matter what breed, on asphalt when it's hot and sunny out is no good. I see a few people with little bowls and water bottles for the dogs, so that's one positive for those people at least.Cooler than the temps you get but really hot for the UK.
You'll see dog walkers out in shorts and a vest wearing trainers thinking it's great too ignorant to realise their dog is wearing a full fur suit and barefoot.
I honestly don't think many realise just how quick a dog can suffer from heat stroke.Hot is hot, once you get past a certain temp the dog is going to have problems. So long as it isn't to "the bone" that's great. Shaving to the skin can be worse for them from what I've read.I have a German shepard. I always borrow my farmer friends machine in the summer, the one that he uses to cut his sheep with. And then i cut of all fur on my dog. He seams alot happier in the summer!? People use to stare when i walk him, but as i always says, let them stare!
I just joking. Of course i did not doing that! I am not crazy! I dont even have a dog! I am a cat personSo long as it isn't to "the bone" that's great. Shaving to the skin can be worse for them from what I've read.
