Up until 2.5 years ago, horses were my life. Everything I did or though about involved the farm in some way. We bred and showed Arabian horses for years, focusing on the straight Egyptian lines. I was going through my pictures today and uploaded a bunch. Just wanted to share some of them.

First up: HO Ride That Wave (Raider). Arab/Saddlebred gelding. Multi champion in halter, Country English Pleasure, English Pleasure, Show Hack, Hunter Pleasure, Native Costume, and did a little jumping on the side.

Our senior stallion, Mashallah Muzrif ("Snick") Multi champion in Halter and Country Pleasure. Also a consistent winner in "Most Classic."

This is Snick at the Egyptian Event in 1998. My trainer's son (12 years old at the time) showed him to a reserve championship in Country Pleasure amateur to ride. He got a lot of cheers from his fellow competitors, because of the rider's age, the fact that he was on a stallion, and that the stallion was only green broke at the time. Good boy Snicker! Gotta love them Arabians!

SHS Khalimaarah (aka "Khallie")

Our junior stallion, Sabbataz JA pictured as a yearling.

Neils Creek Lulee, recently passed away in Texas. When we had her she was the only mare of her breeding in Michigan. Beautiful inside and out, definitely one of my favorites.

Bint Aliikat (AKA "Annie"). Her dam, Aliikat, was exported to some Middle Eastern country right after we bought Annie.

Sorry about all the pics, guess I went a little crazy. I have soooooo many pics and it was hard to choose just a few.

thanks for the pics
I grew up on horses, but haven't ridden in years. I'm thinking at some point we'll buy one or two for Shelby....

Very nice. The problem with arabians is that my feet touch the ground when i ride =D Its a nice specie tho, small and muscular. I was going to post some pics of our horses but apperently my dad switched the sites on me... anyways i will post some when i get my hands of some pics. So you show them? do you compete too?
you can always go check out the site. Versailles Equestrian

LOL you must be pretty tall then! Most of mine were at least 15 hands, and my trainers have several stallions that are 16H. The trend nowadays is to breed them bigger. The gelding in the first 3 pictures I posted is 16.3, way too big for me! I had to stand on a bucket to get on him. I prefer them a bit smaller myself, as I'm only 5 ft 3 and have very short legs.

So you show them? do you compete too?
We sold the horses a few years ago. I personally was too shy to ever enter the ring. There was one time at the Egyptian Event in 1998 at the KY horse park where I was supposed to show our senior stallion in amateur stallion halter, but I chickened out. Snick was ready, I was ready, we were making our way to the in gate. I panicked. Couldn't do it. Just as well, Patrick Swayze ended up winning the class with one of his Tammen daughters!
Our trainers showed all our horses.
