Horned Mountain Lizard not eating

new to this website & not sure where to ask but my mountain horned lizard hasn’t eaten in over a week. any suggestions???? she drank a few days ago and has been less active yesterday and today

Going to need pics of enclosure. You might get better advice on a reptile board, but many of us here keep reptiles. So if You can post some pics of setup, might be able to give you some advice.

How long have you had it? The mountain species are much harder to keep alive and often don't survive in captivity. Their diet consists mostly of biting, stinging ants. You can get ants from Life Studies Online, but if this a recently caught one, I'd put it back where you found it. My P. asio (giant Mexican horned lizards) have been brumating since November and are only recently waking up and aren't hammering down food quite yet, so if you just got it it could still be sleepy.

Edit: I've lurked here for a while and only signed up to reply because these little lizards are super rad, but difficult to keep alive in captivity and are dying out in the wild due to people taking them as pets and people moving in/demolishing their natural habitats.

Double edit: if you have a mountain horned dragon, that's something different and I know nothing about those and whether they eat ants.
