Well... hopefully. She was mated back in September. She is a WC from this past ATS Conference and has yet to molt for me. She has done an unbelieveable amount of digging inside her coconut hide and has made it into a "bowl" shape. You can't really see it in the pictures, but there is a lot of silk down there, but it is not just a silk bed. She has webbed up the sides making a wall and is currently sitting in the middle. Good news is, is that she ate last week before doing all of this. Keep those fingers crossed!

Yeah, Aphonos are very slow growers, but in the long run, I think its worth the wait! :D

Here she is wrapping it all up

My pull date will be 3/22/08, or thats what I'm aiming for. Sound about right?
On another note, I found her this morning digging making a bowl, and silking like mad:

cool

I think chalcodes is my favorite Aphonopelma, and yours is beautiful. I'm wayyy jealous! How many eggs/sac do you generally see? I first saw one at the Victoria, B.C. bug zoo (which is pretty cool in itself!) and I of course immediately had to have one. It grew a millimeter this year and I'm so proud! Good luck on the sac!
