Brilliant. The deadliest snake in the world and a 'it can't happen to me' attitude.
Steve Irwin was very leery and cautious around the Inland Taipan. There are a couple of videos of him coping with them complete with his 'sweating bullets' comment.

Live by the sword you die by the sword. Love the part where he is quoted can “control” the snake. 🙄🤮

Wait till authorities learn that hots are generally far CHEAPER to purchase than non hots.

I could have bought cobras for 40$, while the boas I wanted were 225$

That;s weird. Sort of paradoxical. Hots require more diligence, time and effort, to acquire or breed and ship. I suppose there is such a demand that it keeps the price down?
It would be interesting to see a country by country sales quantity. That would give a rough idea of general population stupidity. Not being sarcastic there. Those who have had to work with hots consider them a major chore and general turn off for keeping numerous specimens. The vigilance required can and does get to you.

It isn't- supply/demand

Re exotic animals, illegal and legal markets, China is the largest consumer with their crackpot ideas of exotics curing everything (how'd that work for you w/COVID China ), followed by the USA.

Someone got bit by his Inland Taipan and is in the hospital right now, apparently is becoming a larger thing as now police and news are getting involved. Hoping this doesn't prompt a crack down on keeping all hots. This is why we say not to free handle hots!
All it takes is one dummy to get bitten and boom 💥 a species is banned.

... followed by the USA.
That somewhat checks out if a little skewed. The exotic animal trade in China is only a tiny fraction set beside the offshore business operations - cheap Chinese goods flooding every big box and online market, added to rampant consumerism especially found in the US.
The regulating factor there is the ultra draconian laws in China. Singapore can be used as an example of the offshore business operation of a country - with a majority 80% Chinese population and similar if even stricter draconian laws, where on any given day dozens of ships can be found sitting in their offshore parking lot. Less that 1% of the goods traded. bought and sold actually come ashore.
Quite likely, Chinese offshore business interests is the #1 money mover of the planet and US consumerism the principal customer base. If there is a significant market for any good, chances are quite high Chinese offshore business operations will be trying to get their fingers in the pie.
It bears mentioning, be it illegal animals or any other illegal or gray area business practice in China is taking the chance of coming under the scrutiny of big brother. People vanish without a trace on a daily basis in China. Take it out of country is the rule of thumb.

Yup. But they are also making a serious dent in virtually every American family budget. Try finding a household that doesn't have a Made in China or Chinese/Oriental business operation item. Kiss off your computer and cell for a start. Then move to anything electronic in the house.

Case in point. Mexico, transparent trade borders with China. Money talks in impoverished countries. Taiwan businesses, 99% Chinese offshore business entrepreneurs.

Micro example of that money power house. A huge home improvement store here. Selling nearly all Chinese fingers-in-the-pie goods. 2 1/2 acre store fully stocked, Global House. Screw up with some welding in a corner. Entire store burned to the ground in 2 hours. 1 1/2 months later a brand new fully stocked Global House was back in the same location. Third ring road, Chiang Mai area, 2 km west of the Lampang highway. Figure around a 100 million dollars replaced almost instantly. Just one of thousands of financial power houses at play.

Capitalism more money in the hands of few is a worldwide problem, these companies can afford millions of dollars for stores but pay employees low wages .

Do you even remember what topic I wrote about above!!??
A vague inference to a singular snake bite incident adversely affecting enforcement of the Lacey Act and/or state laws. Or possibly multiplying the acquisition of dangerous animals. Not exactly clear which.
