What's a decent price? The 2.5" CB E. pulcherrimaklaasi on SSW site are likely this species

I was wondering about that. I have a nice E. pulcherrimaklasi. It looks a lot like the Homoeomma sp. "blue" tarantula I've seen posted. Is this another mix up. Regardless it's become one of my favorites.

Why do you think that?

Prior to this very recent import of WC Chilean stock, ALL of the spiders sold the past few years as E. pulcherrimaklaasi in the U.S. are in fact the large blue Homoeomma sp.

Now that the potentially real E. pulcherrimaklaasi (I'm not aware of anyone having truly made the ID) is back in the trade, we will undoubtedly have people trying to mate these 2 species.

If you do some searches, you can likely find a bunch of threads about it here on AB.

Thrixopelma cyaneolum was refered to as "blue" "small" (among many other things) prior to being described. Basically you had the small blue spider and the large blue spider :)

Thanks Eric, after seeing the pictures I wasn't certain what I had. I'm still not. I have a large female E. pulcherrimaklasi( I think) I'd like to try breeding some day. I guess I can wait untill things are cleared up.

Can you share a photo of your spider?

Heres the other one. It's one of my favorites. Don't mind the dirt on her.
