That is an utterly ridiculous price , there are several breeders of this species in europe and on this board, it would be much cheaper (like 650$ cheaper) to buy off them and ship the scorplings to the US. I'm guessing (hoping  ) no one is going to pay that amount for that scorpion.

omg ... ahahhahahah

thats quite funny, i think a moderator should delete that post!
if anyone is willing to buy mine for $750 they are welcome to!

also me and some others are lucky enough to have a contact in India who can find these scorps, we're just waiting for him to find some babies..

not sure about others who have the species, but i bought my adults for around $15

LOL! That's quite funny. He must mean 75$?? But even that is twice the amount I would be willing to pay for a adult specimen.

bug markets are hardly stabilized for ANY species...

US market is nonexistant for true swammerdammi, as far as i know

I know. But you would be able to import atleast 10 of them yourself for that price.

Why should the post be deleted? He's entitled to charge what he wants, so if someone wants to pay it, why not?

I strongly suspect that it is a "get everyone talking" post. I doubt there is anybody, even in the inflated US market, that would pay THAT much for a single scorpion. However, if the same dealer offers babies in a few months for $100 each, they'd seem like a good deal in comparison. Clever marketing ploy, IMO.

If he does sell it for that price...well, good for him! It won't be to me though. $5 emperors are out of my price range right now {D

Why was the link removed to the for sale/trade board?
The link was removed because as we do not allow ads in the informational forums, we also do not allow links to ads in the informational forums.

I don't care how long it is, it is still not worth 750 bucks to me...I could use that for something a bit more usefull...

I always thought the Tityus scorpions were considered "the Holy Grail" of scorpions....not an oversized Emperor lol. $750.....pass the crack pipe!

Wow, that price is ridiculous. H. swammerdami look almost the same as P. imperator. Certainly not the holy grail. I'd have to say that's reserved for Apistobuthus pterygocercus.

That's what I thought that scorp was...even those only go for $200 per pair.

Aren't H. Swammerdami sometimes confused with Pandinus Imperators?
