Yeah, she is pretty huge. Very nice. It's worth a shot trying to breed her.

Beautiful Eremobatid! U.S. Eremobatidae can get quite large, some species up to 2" in body length.

Is it just me or does it look like you can see eggs in her?

nah, shes even bigger now since I fed her a roach and I see no signs of prego.

last solfugid I had that was pregnant dropped all her eggs all over her enclosure and I assume she ate them or they dried up becuase after a few days, they were all gone.

Wow that's a nice picture. What kind of camera did you use?

How deep was the substrate you were keeping the pregnant specimen on? She most likely ate them if she didnt dig a burrow or egg laying pit if the substrate wasnt deep enough.

the substarte was about an inch at the deepest with a piece of rock for her to burrow under.

now that you mention it, what would you recomend as an ideal substrate depth?

shes got eggs visible through her abdomen again and Im going to try something different, if theyre even fertile.

crap, the one in the picture died today. I really liked her too.

A good substrate depth for solifugids is at least 4" to 5" of a dry peat moss or potting soil mixed with sand. Sorry to hear about the loss, it was a beautiful specimen.
