The only ones I've seen that match yours are males, as the species is sexually dimorphic. The females have the gorgeous colors as adults, the males do not.View attachment 327992
Just poked her head out after a recent molt. Was expecting to see some blue and green (supposedly an emerald green). This is definitely not what I was expecting her to look like
95% sure female by molt. If she ever kicks out her latest molt I should Be able to tell 100% (if not destroyed). But I saw pretty clear spermathecae on last molt. The only ones I've seen that match yours are males, as the species is sexually dimorphic. If you tell me it's a molt confirmed female (100% no error), laid a sac etc etc, then man I can't tell you at all.

Was it blue or green at one time and turned black or was it always black?Just poked her head out after a recent molt. Was expecting to see some blue and green (supposedly an emerald green). This is definitely not what I was expecting her to look like
Only mature males look different, before maturing they are as colorful as females! After maturing they look nothing alike as the are very leggy and differently build. The only ones I've seen that match yours are males, as the species is sexually dimorphic.
