Ok, I have my hissers in a plastic tub with a locking lid. I will attach pix of it shortly. The top 2.5 inches are coated with vaseline but I'm afraid there are some still managing to climb over the vaseline to the very top where they could potentially escape. (This is a bad thing because I manage my apartment building and can't have a hisser infestation) so are there any other tricks that you guys know of? I thought vaseline was good enough and they can't climb over or through it. (Was I told wrong?) Pls give me some advice or tips on the setups you guys use. Oh and pls include pix if possible.

Thank you very much,
Jeff

Vaseline is fine. If any get out they likely will not last long(you could get into BIG trouble though if an adult escaped and was found by a bugaphobic). I think the nymphs are most likely to escape.

I've found they don't really like to climb much anyway and tend to stay on the bottom if that is where the warmth is.

Make sure you put on enough vaseline. If you have a really thin coat, they might be able to cross over it. Also, make sure you have 2 or 3 inches of vaseline coverage (or at least as much as your longest roach). You might have to apply more vaseline every now and then too, especially if you rub against the sides. With your setup, I would also suggest putting vaseline on the inside of the lid too; it never hurts (just watch where you put the lid when you remove it :wall: )

Looks fine to me. I wouldn't worry too much about them breeding if they escape. If it happens just set a couple Blondi's loose :). Mine thrived in heated 10-gallon aquariums.
