Hisser gestation?

What exactly is the average gestation for hissing cockroaches? I ask because I've had my colony for about a month and have yet to see any babies.

The temps in the container are high enough for them to breed, I know that.

I tossed in some orange peels to attempt to lower the gestation rate a little bit.

Would they breed better if they were in total darkness?
