I looked in their cage and one of them had molted! An hour later, I saw a newly molted white roach. I couldn't find any old exoskelotons, though. What happens to it when they molt?

Another one just molted and I saw his old exo, so that makes more sense. Why didn't i see any of the other ones though?

Well, I figured that they could have been eating the old ones but I've learned not to assume anything with insects. Case solved. Must be a good source of protein...

Yeah hissers deffinately like to eat their old skin, when I caught my giant male first eating his skin I got mad because I thought he was eating the other male! Even though I already knew they ate their old skins lol. So do millipedes I believe. :)

Yes the "whities" eating their molt belly side up is quite a sight...

It really is cool, they're almost transparent so you can see the old shell move through them!

I've got a little bit of orange in there with a pecan, which the adults enjoy and has high protein. Anything else I should be feeding them? They must not be getting enough protein if they're eating their old exos.

Soley carrots, dried white bread and spaghetti but until a week or so ago, I was feeding them the mix I was outlined in another thread.

I'm still experimenting, though.

I feed my hissers puppy food with high animal protein content as well as a variety of veggy scraps. They also like oranges. They ignored the dogfood for the past 2 days to polish of a sliced orange.
