High humidity pets?

this discussion will primarly be about any pet that requires high humidity. I have a 10 gallon terrarium about 95% humidity, it has 3 live plants inclucing moss, i was using it for my packman frog but he passed away, I was trying to think of what i should use that enclosure for, maybe a h. lividum, i think that is one of the few T's that like high humidity,or may be some poison dart frogs, or some salamander or newts but just cant make up my mind, any ideas for high humidity pets? or info on tarantulas that require high humidity?

About all the spp found in the tropics would qualify. Due to the fact that there are too many to mention, I suggest you do a search on the species you are potentially interested in.

You'll obviously have to clean everything and replace the substrate before adding a new animal, of course, but let's see. It depends on HOW you're keeping the humidity that high--how much ventilation does the tank have? Too little ventilation in a high-humidity environment is a good recipe for mold outbreaks, especially since Ts tend to leave food boluses lying around or hide their molts or whatever. Then there's species like Avicularia that seem to need plenty of ventilation for their own sake, or they do very poorly.

You could keep a tiger salamander in there, I think! I love those guys.

the substarate was replaced a couple weeks ago and i just introduced some new plants, i have not seen any mites or other little bugs, i did on the other hand find a centipede when i changing coco fiber, i was wondering how he got in there he was about and 1'' long and sorta maroon in color. i took him out and let him go. for the humidity i just have a water dish square that fits perfectly on the side of the 10 gallon and hold lots of water other than that i just mist a couple time a week and i have covered about 70% of the critter lid with plastic so the moisture doesnt evaporate to quickly. i also sorta til the substrate so that all the coco fiber gets a little moisture. I was leaning to some dart frogs, id like to get some communial pets ( i think dart frogs live happy together ). i have several T's but non big enough for the 10 gallon, and the only one that might like that atmosphere is my P. murinus. but little less humidity.:?
