Are praying mantis hard to take care of?
I love the way orchid mantises look, but I would be fine with any other kind. Will they fit in a 20gal tank? I also love rosy poodle moths. Are these hard to take care as well? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks so much!

They are extremely easy to achieve basic care in terms of the enclosure, but not so easy to deal with their feeders imo though. If you buy a CB Nymph it will be super tiny and so you'll have to feed fruitflys or (what I use) small houselfys. If you buy an adult, it will die in a few months, so get a Nymph. My orchid nymph is feeding well, but again, it is very small, and their feeders are a pain as many people advise against feeding the easily obtained pet-store crickets. A 20 gal tank is way too big for a nymph, probably even to big for an adult.

Some tropical species are more finicky with temperatures and humidity but in general most species are fairly straightforward to care for.
