Hello everyone! I have a female H. Mac that is about 3.5" DLS That hasn't eaten since Jan 19. I'm not overly worried but if she is in fact in premolt, how long do they usually refuse food before they finally molt or before they become tellably dark?

If you have an H. mac that you can actually see, then more power to ya! LOL I only knew mine had molted when it would kick out the shredded exuvia. I just pitched food in once a week.

Lol from what I'd heard about them, I'm surprised how much she is actually out!

Hmmm I reckon I should just keep trying with food until she molts.

My girl is an odd one in that she doesn't do a lot of webbing, and is out often. I normally know she's in premolt when she starts making a nice web to molt in, and retreating to it. I believe last time she molted she went off food for a few weeks before hand.
