The main difference is the telson it will be pale in H. spinifer that turns reddish upon maturity. H. silenus telson remain dark chocolate or brown throughout their whole entire life cycle. There are notable differences in the granulation of the pedipalps, the carapace, and metasoma (tail).Not much luck looking for much information on the internet about the distinguishable differences between these two any ideas?
