Hey all,
A friend of mine is keeping a black widow and found an odd looking white spot. We live in a dry climate and there's no substrate, only wood and fake aquarium vegetation. Unfortunately to get a good look we had to move her favorite log to hide in and some webbing, but I'd rather make her unhappy briefly than have her die. Here are a few pics:

I'm considering using betadine because it somewhat looks fungal to me, but the spot has been there for a few days and doesn't look to be spreading at a noticeable rate.

I've never seen that, is there any chance it could be damage to the abdomen?
