well you will quickly realise that a spider is not a dog, she wont make trick for you she wont execise in the tank , its a trap door, a spider that spend most of its time in burrows ... I dont know much about this species but imo thats not a beginer spider, first because she's not a display spider and second because she's agressive ( i think, as I said I know nuttin to true spiders ) . theres nuttin to do men, that is a spder and its perfectly normal

and you dont even know what species it is ... this is a trap door spider imo, as I said 2 time I know nuttin to spider I might be wrong
it is very important to study the species that youre buying before purchasing it men ... very important

its normal that if you put a cricket in the tank she wont IMMEDIATLY come out, running to the cricket ... they will disapear dont worry

if you are using "true spider" opposite myglamorph spiders, trap doors are not true spiders. they are still myglamorphae, as are tarantulas, trap doors, purse webs, mouse spiders, sydney funnel web, etc

it should stay burrowed for ~99.9% of the time. 4 days is nothing for a immoblie predator bug to go without eating. you should prbobably only feed it ~1 medium-large cricket a week, anyways. some bugs don't eat right away, after they are moved into a new home

yeah its really nuttin 4 days ... I can be 1 month without seeing one leg of one of my Tarantula ... 4 days is really nothing, dont worry, enjoy it when you see it, but dont spend too much time in front of the tank

sorry I been hard a little

Remove the feeders and re-introduce them next week. A lot of spiders won't feed after the stress of being transported but calm down in a week or so.

WOW!....ok....erm wont it ok jus to leave the feeders in there for now?
personally I would remove it and try again in a few days, its better if theres no activity in the tank to let it relax ( if it is stressed )

What to do

I have a few Gorgyrella species and once had a funnel web spider. As long as it has made a home for itself, leave it be. Just because it did not eat right away means nothing. It will eat when it wants to. What you do have to worry about is if it does NOT make a retreat for itself. Then you know it is not doing well in captivity. Let it get situated in its new home. All you have to do to take care of it is give it enough room to dig, spin webs, etc. Keep it in room temp. (74F) and make sure it has a shallow water dish. For my smaller spiders, I use caps from 32 oz. Gatorade containers. They are perfect for a spider of that size. Do not use a sponge as others have chosen to do. Give it a few crickets a week, and watch its eating patterns, you will then figure it all out. These are easy to take care of. Just be careful, some species tend to be quite aggressive!
