Snakes can eat prey thats 25% larger then the thickest part of their body..start feeding hopper mice maybe?

or even small rats might be alright, you'd be surprised at the stretchiness of a snakes mouth.

offer him two fuzzies a week, or upgrade to an adult mouse or small rat.

You didn't say what kind of snake it is, but I have Corns that are the same size as what you describe, and I feed them small ADULT mice, which they eat with no problem at all. One fuzzy mouse per week is simply not enough for a snake of that size, so naturally it's wanting more. It doesn't take long for a baby Corn, Rat or King to "graduate" from pinkies to fuzzies and from fuzzies to hoppers, and that's long before they reach 3 feet in length.

25% of the thickest part of the body is not the way to go. unless you want a regurg.

you should feed a snake anything larger than the thickest part of its body. there should be a slight buldge but nothing crazy.

i always up my snakes by doubling the feeder size before a jump to the next feeder size. in this case, offer 2 fuzzies.

what kind of snake is it again?

You could also go with rat pups or baby rats as they seem to be better than mice, and from what i remember are more nutritious than mice.

25% larger really isnt all that big at all.
If a snake eats prey that big all you are going to end up with is a slight but noticeable bulge.

I have a 4ft corny that's about 1 1/4-1 1/2" thick and i feed him small rats about the same width maybe bigger, he has no problems swallowing and digesting, but of course don't hold them after they ate and for a while that will definitely make them barf.
