my snake is 3ft long and3/4 of a inch tall he was eating 1 fuzzie a week but lately he has been wanting more please help i need it.
You didn't say what kind of snake it is, but I have Corns that are the same size as what you describe, and I feed them small ADULT mice, which they eat with no problem at all. One fuzzy mouse per week is simply not enough for a snake of that size, so naturally it's wanting more. It doesn't take long for a baby Corn, Rat or King to "graduate" from pinkies to fuzzies and from fuzzies to hoppers, and that's long before they reach 3 feet in length.my snake is 3ft long and3/4 of a inch tall he was eating 1 fuzzie a week but lately he has been wanting more please help i need it.
25% of the thickest part of the body is not the way to go. unless you want a regurg.Snakes can eat prey thats 25% larger then the thickest part of their body..start feeding hopper mice maybe?
or even small rats might be alright, you'd be surprised at the stretchiness of a snakes mouth.
25% larger really isnt all that big at all.25% of the thickest part of the body is not the way to go. unless you want a regurg.
you should feed a snake anything larger than the thickest part of its body. there should be a slight buldge but nothing crazy.
