Recently I bought a pair of whipscorpion (Hypoctonus siamensis), but there is a significant difference in size between female and male. Usually, in tarantulas and scorpions, female is larger than male, but in this case, the female is smaller than the male, so I am not sure if the female is fully mature adult or juvenile that have not yet fully grown. Here are some photos:
: Size comparison (left: female; right: male)
: female habitus
: female genital sternite
Is there anyone who can determine whether this female is mature or not? Also, I would like to check the original description of Hypoctonus siamensis to see the female size and shape of the genital. Is there any online links or homepages where I can read the literature?
