Thank you! I've been looking everywhere for vulgare.lol Finally found one! Now, gotta find more. Is there a way to help identify the first one? The underside? I want to get better at taking pictures to make them better identifiable.the second is armadillidium vulagre. unsure about the first, possibly porcellio scaber.
Oh, you didn't have to do that. But, I very much appreciate it!after further research i came up with scaber as my answer.
Yes, in this case what would help identify this specimen is a ventral photo with enough detail to count the pleopodal lungs. Dorsally it looks like a calico form of P. scaber, or a Trachelipus rathkii (which I'm betting on).Thank you! I've been looking everywhere for vulgare.lol Finally found one! Now, gotta find more. Thank you! I will have to try to get a good photo and see if I can tell. I tried the other night, but super hard to get a decent one where I could see well enough to count.Yes, in this case what would help identify this specimen is a ventral photo with enough detail to count the pleopodal lungs. Thank you! That is what I thought, but wanted to make sure. I have to say, I think they are now one of my favorites, too. Beautiful coloring and such a cool look to them. They remind me of tiny trilobites.Oniscus asellus, one of my favorites (super underrated in my opinion).
