Help with ID

First time I have seen one of these. Neat little bugger. Its almost 4 inches in length from head to the tip of its stinger (which is huge). It appears to be some species of wasp. Can anyone tell me what it is?

It is a wasp, a giant Ichneumonid. I'd be willing to be Megarhyssa macrurus or something very close to it.
