Keep the same as any other Grammostola. In other words, dry with a water dish.

Might I make a suggestion. Do the research before the animals arrive. Then you won't have to title so many threads "Urgent". :)

If you know where they come from, you could try to keep them in a similar circumstance to their original enviroment. {D

he just told you...

G. rosea is desert like .. G. pulchra is rainforest like...

What he said was a generalized incorrect affirmation ..

And i know i should have made the search before , but believe me ive been making but there is very little materials available on iheringi..

How ever what is a good idea is to locate exactly where they come from and analyse the environment in that region ;)

For locality information look here. Bookmark it. With the number of threads you have asking where something comes from I think you'll probably need it in the future.

I've never kept G. iheringi but, regardless of where it's from, it can probably be kept like other Grammastola spp. (as Leanne said). G. pulchra may be a rain forest species but I believe the most common way of housing them is with dry substrate and a water dish. Is it possible to keep them in a different type of environment? Sure it is. It's up to you.

Do the research before the animals arrive.
Best advice in the thread.

Since it's a Grammostola, chances are it's tough and just give it the usual dry substrate/water dish and if it acts unhappy then change the settings, but chances are it'll be fine.

You sure anyone been finding G.pulchra in forest most sites list them as a pampas/scrub species (Lelle's page >Here< for starters), in fact iv read it's gets light winter frost in part of it's range (Uruguay).

Okay, first off I'm a she not a he. Second, you can keep ALL Grammostola dry with a water dish.

Now, I'm late for work. Good day!

Dude I wouldn't second guess Leanne. She is very knowledable when it comes to T's. I had to personally call her a few times to ask questions and they get answered completely and thorough!!!! She also likes to call when I am sleeping ;P J/k leanne..hehe. But yeah like everyone said I would try keeping it like the grammostola species and see how is reacts. The onyl way I have learned is by making small mistakes. Good Luck!!! {D

P.S. God!!!!!!! i would hope your a she!!!!!!!!! WTF :? :wall:

Help !!! Urgent !!! again.............

Hey dude, perhaps you should consider researching before you buy. You obviously have access to the internet, so you have pretty much have access same to information we have.

Perhaps it would be wiser to study and understand the "T's" you currently own before adding any more to your collection.

Just my "T" cents.

I have 11 Grammastolas from six different species and have had a female iheringii since 2001. I keep them all the same, dry with a water dish. John

G

G. iheringi are also called Entre Rios (between rivers) regions of Argentina, a mountain region called Entre Rios (I plan on visiting there this winter) Humid is the answer.

G. pulchra can be kept a bit drier as they are also found in Uruguay, there is a picture of their environment in a french book, dry grassy land.
