help! my poor millipede might be dead

so my millipede, sligo, is curled up and not moving whatsoever I tried giving him gentle pets and his legs didn't even move whats so ever and his antenna are stuck to his head so I have two questions 1. is he dead? // also my dad says hes going to get a bowl of water , put him in it and see if there are air bubbles ,2. is that safe?

I wouldn't put it under water. If you wait and there continues to be no movement and no response to stimuli, plus it starts to smell, you can be certain it has passed. From what I've read they tend to go limp when dead, not curled. I would continue to monitor and you'll know one way or another.
