HELP! Mold growth in jumping spider enclosure

I must've been over-misting, because I just noticed that my Phidippus regius jumping spider's enclosure has become overwhelmed with blue mold.

The problem is that I hot-glued the cork bark to the enclosure to prevent it from moving and crushing poor Ellie. Now I can't get it out.

I've transferred her to a temporary holding container while I find a remedy.

Can I swab the cork with peroxide, wait a few days, and replace the coco fiber substrate? Should I add a springtail culture to prevent this from happening again? I wasn't looking to go the bioactive route, but I'm not sure what else to do other than purchase another enclosure and wait for it to arrive.

(Note that I live in New England, where the air in the house can get dry enough for clothes to get static electricity during this time of year. The coco dries out really quickly.)

Coco fibre is especially prone to molding up, so when you replace it,use something else altogether (reptisoil, or even just cheap, clean dirt). You can scrub everything down with hot water & a toothbrush, but mold is from spores, & they're gonna be in that cork bark. Growth can be kept in check with increased ventilation, along with decreased misting (or just use a water dish).
Good luck

Thanks a bunch! I'm going to use Creature Soil. How about springtails? Should I add a few?

You can use coco fiber and keep a small part of the sub damp, will work perfectly fine.

She's back home!

I ended up using the Creature Soil, and added a couple springtails. I was misting the top, but it spooks her, and she almost escaped today. So dampening just a small part of the sub sounds like a great idea!
