ok, I have searched and searched trying to find out if this thing is dangerous etc cause if it is i need to call housing to come and spray ...

it was alll black with a red thing on its butt... now it didn't look like a black widow due to it didn't have that blub looking butt.. so I went searching and found some pictures for you to combine and you get my spider... first it was small.. probally the size of a dime at most...

and it was all black with the exact same red spot on the butt as the picture that has the 4 styles of black widow decals. the only thing that is the same is the exact shape as the red spot on that 2nd style has...

now between the other two pictures is pretty much exactly what it looked like except its legs seemed closer to the body.. i would have to say the one with the coffee cup in the center is more closer of the look... but the one that says male on it is pretty close to it too just not that big...

help meeeeeee please let me know if this is just a harmless thing in my house since it went behind the stove and i am now scared to cook dinner

Now why would you want to go and do something like that? We are spider friendly people remember?

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that widows aren't THAT dangerous unless you're a child/very old/very sick. Mostly they just want to keep away from you, same as any other spider. Leave it alone, maybe it will eat some houseflies. :)

Black widows are no more likely to bite than a tarantula. Just don't play with them. ;)
