I'm almost sure it's AFS but just decided to double check. Owner is selling it as Emp but I'm highly skeptical.

Looks like a Pandinus to me. The claws look rounded and granulated.

I dunno, but it seems that the claws are way too long and the stinger looks afs too.

Also from this pic:

It resembles the afs more no?

After taking a better look at the photo, I am now leaning Heterometrus. The photos threw me off a bit due to the angles.

it looks like an AFS. The telson is red so it could be a heterometrus spinifer.

Yes, red telson is either H. spinifer or H. Longimanus
When in doubt, please read this https://arachnoboards.com/threads/identifying-common-heterometrus-revised.94196/
Unfortunately pictures aren't available anymore but description is very good.
I put my money on Spinifer. Still cool species though, here in Europe since last year they are rare on the market while it's overflowing with Petersii.
Petersii everywhere, every man's dog has a Petersii. You get a free Petersii when buying a bag of crisps or a cola.

Thanks everyone! I cancelled the deal.

I'm really only interested in emps at the moment, wanna acquire 3 or 4 and establish a breeding pair because they're like my fav inverts and now thanks to CITES they're rare and difficult to export.

It's tough being a keeper here in Canada. I'm getting best luck buying from hobbyists and keepers looking to rehome their scorpions, breeders in Canada almost never sell adults subadults or even juveniles from sought after species except for arachnophiliac. The rest only sell babies to hobbyists and only supply adults to pet YouTubers in exchange for advertisement. I found that out when I asked a very well known breeder here in Quebec (not gonna name them) for adult emps and they said they aren't for sale but a week or 2 later I was watching reptiliatus channel and he was unboxing emperor scorpions that he said came from the same breeder and talked a little bit about their business so go figure. I'd like to give a shoutout to arachnophiliac for being an ethical supplier and selling to anyone who pays fair and square.

I greatly appreciate the help folks!!
