Tail-less whip scorpion, not venomous or dangerous.

Maybe somebody else can ID the species.

Hi thanks for quick response. Just realised i did not put anything in the photo to show size/scale there only small less than 2cm including the leg
span. Is there normal size or do they get bigger. Also i lived here in the gambia for the last 5 years and have never seen one of these before but tonight i have 6+ in my house. Are they a common species. Regards garry

You have babies. I'm not sure what species but they are not venomous and they will not sting you. They control pest insects by eating them.

Pardon the aside digression but so often 'Is it dangerous' comes up. That question ranges from legitimate - usually quite rare - on out to the OP's cute little tyke which is as ridiculous as a sloth being a dangerous hazard to a shark.

So does that mean they get rid of my cockroaches lol. Thanks for the information.
Yes, they are free pest control. Completely harmless. Not technically spiders, no silk or venom. Arachnids though so in the same group as spiders and scorpions etc. really cool bugs!

To a shark--definitely not. If left untreated, sloth bites on humans often end with infection. Quite dangerous. 😆

Yeah, free organic pest control, no cost and no poison. And yeah, some species get quite big, 4-6" or so. Check out the "other" section of the forum, they are popular pets.
