ok i know this really belongs in the tarantula identification section, but i wanted to upload 2 pics, so im sorry mods....anyways i just got this one in, and was told it was either a P. fasciata, or a P. pederseni...but i am thinking its a P. regalis due to the band underneath...and sorry for the horrible shots, all i could get at the time

definitely regalis... can get tricky distinguishing at times, however that band is A DEAD GIVEAWAY as you said... that belly band is a trait ONLY found in regalis

yeah thats what i thought....i was mainly paying attention to the yellow on the legs, and checking my fasciata youngins....and then i realized the band.....well im hoping its female, cause i already got 2-6" females, and 2-6" males, so another female to add to the breeding circle once the boys mature would be nice...

thats for sure.... p. reg is one of my personal all around favs ... i got a sling thats around 2.5" molt should be due soon? hope ill b able to get a good enough one to sex. nice lp too by the way, was just readin your other post. i have one i thought was a f, but he just molted and hooked out other nite... hes a solid 7+" , sad to know i gotta get rid of my center piece tho

yeah i like the regalis alot too..ive got the 5-6" ers, and one thats about 3"...yeah that Lp is really cool...shes a hog too, when she is not molting.... i had two 5" Lp females, and just recently traded them....i thought about getting a male for my girl, but 1500-2000 babies...no way....now if it was around 100 then maybe....im gonna be breeding my B. vagans once the male matures, should be next molt...i have read that some people got over 600 outta them....thats gonna be sooo hard...might end up letting some cannibalize....or just sell em or trade them all as a lot...

well keep us posted lol. wish i woulda known bout the lps ya traded. i really got attached to lunchbox {my big boy} as he was my 1st t. i dont wanna let em go, but if it gives em a chance to do his thing...... plus it could get me some new ts.. ive had a few nice people make legit/good offers, but just waitin for the right one ya know? ive even had people offer to BUY but im not in it for the money.

+1 100% P. regalis and a female....the dorsal stripe will totally fade out to white....my girl P. regalis looked the same as yours. another molt maybe two molts and the stripe will be all white....female.

i will...yeah sorry they got traded off quick....yeah i know how you feel...i had a costa rican zebra...she was sooo pretty, until she hooked out....so i went ahead and traded him off, that way atleast someone might have a chance to get something outta him before he dies....

yeah i have 2 other females and 2 males...but i hardly get to see them...especially the one male...i almost never catch him out....theres gonna be alot of breeding there...i now have 3- 6" females, 2- 6" males, and one 4" unknown..might be a male for later down the road breeding....
