Hello
I have had my kissers for about 3 months now. One female one male. And last night the female looked like she was about to push babies out. Her back end was open and I seen little white things but she never pushed them out. And she was out in opening for this. And now today she really hasn’t moved at all. Still out in opening. If I pick her up she moves a little. She will crawl around a little if picked up. Other then that she don’t move. Please help!!

Hissing cockroaches retain the ootheca (egg case) inside their bodies. After the ootheca has formed, she will partially extrude it from the tip of her abdomen so she can re-orient it, then retract it back into her brood pouch to gestate. When the nymphs are ready to be born, the eggs hatch inside the mother's brood pouch and she gives birth to "live" young. Sometimes - if the mother is sick or stressed, or if there is something wrong with the developing eggs - she will abort the ootheca, expelling it completely from her body. When this happens, the eggs are not viable and the ootheca will just dry out.

The white things you saw may have been a partially extruded ootheca that she was in the process of retracting.

You can see it here:

The not moving thing is concerning, though. It is possible that she is sick or dying.

Thank u I appreciate your answer. Yes I think she’s dying. All that she moves now is her legs.
