Help! A. potteri laid something in her web! What is this thing?

Hey guys, my female Agelenopsis potteri (Marie) laid/made this really weird thing in her web it’s like a funnel. I know I’ve seen something like it somewhere but I can’t place it. She isn’t always “holding” it but she doesn’t ignore it either. I don’t know if this is a egg sac or what so I’ll leave it to the professionals. Pictures attached.
