heating?

I have a few Discoids that I'm trying to get to breed. I have them in a rubbermaid container 18"x24"x20". There is about an inch of peat substrate and some egg crates in the tank. I need a way to heat it about 20 degrees or so. I'm thinking a hermit crab heater underneath or a heat lamp over the top. If I go undertank how big of a pad do I need? If I go light above how many watts?

If you must heat, I'd go with the bulb for roaches. I'd say a 25 watt red "party" bulb should be enough if room temp is more or less normal.
