I think people just use a little aquarium water heater, usually. Size you need will depend on size of aquarium- they make super tiny ones, they'll be marketed as "betta fish tank" heaters.

I kept these little buggers for many years before moving on to terrestrial invertebrates. They were all over the creek near my house!

Super easy to keep; they can take cold weather really well. In my area, they are active at basically any outside temperature above 53F.

I'd say you could just use a regular aquarium heater; these guys are tough as nails. There's a reason why they're incredibly invasive!

I have a p clarkii in a 40 gal with a canister filter and normal adjustable aquarium heater. I'd get one with a temp gauge you can set, I like to keep mine a bit cooler

I kept mine at room temperature (65-75F) with no heater and it did fine.

Thanks,
