-Hello, is possible using heaters within the plastic totes of roaches or crickets? some one already has tryed this? and how can be avoided these chewings on the inner system?
-This can be made with flexwatt, heat cable, ceramic bulb, etc within these plastic totes?
-Traditionally only has been used external heating system, but may be of interest hear hints and results of pioners whos tryed it.
-Thank you, regards.

I don't think it's a good idea to put the actual heat pad inside the cage. You don't want to expose the heat pad to moisture, and you will basically wear it out the heat pad more quickly by having things live on top of it.

-xelda: many thanks for your reply. Yes is true your answer, already I don´t has considered this factors you comment.
-So I will still add at the flexwatt style under the plastic tote.
-Also, a setup fixture of a ceramic bulb on the lid can be enough for reach the cold bottom of a plastic tote?
-I ask this because the air heated tend to go from low to up. Is common the view of this ceramic bulb fixture, but I want confirming if this setup can be functional on a lid of a tote which have a high of one or two feets (or+).
-Or if is better heating from under the bottom, all these for the comfort of crickets and roaches whos living within a plastic tote of at least 55+ gal.
-Thanks, best regards.

I personally think it's more suitable to heat from the bottom up since the roaches prefer to spend their time hiding on the bottom of the cage. Flexwatt is a great way to heat plastic totes. Just make sure you have plenty of ventilation under the cage. You might also want to consider hooking the flexwatt up to a temperature control device (like a thermostat or rheostat) to prevent overheating.

How cold does it get in central Mexico? I live in a much colder area than you and have never needed to heat cockroches or crickets.

-Wade: in decenber-january the temperature may reach to -5 centigrades in mexico city.
-The problem is what the breeder-roaches may stop their propagation at these low temperatures but I wanna their breeding all year around. However for exclusively feeder roaches may not problem.
