Heat pad on rubbermade?

Is it OK to put a heat pad on the side of a semiclear rubbermade bin for my giganteus then? Not sure if the plastic can burn. I am using no thermostat just have a 10 gallon size heat pad (4" X 8" or so). My room temp is around 70" +/- 1". Thanks

That'd be fine. I have one of those size heat pads sitting in with my crickets in a container exactly like you're describing. There's a few topics on this matter already if you do a search.

I have one for my roaches. It's oversized AND I have a heat cord in with them.

Which reminds me, I should check on them today.
