Anybody know of any tarantulas that are native to Hawaii?

How about introduced species?

As far as I know there are no Tarantulas native to Hawaii. Created from lava, and no real way (until people came along) for the Ts to have migrated across the ocean to settle.
And I thought it was an Aphonopelma on the Brady's Hawaii vacation, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the consensus was that it was an Aphonopelma, but they couldn't decide on the species.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I could have sworn the T I remembered seeing had orange knees on it. But then it has been many moons since I saw that one. I did a search on Brady Bunch episode pics and saw some cool stuff but sadly no pic of the T in question.

I thought the same thing, but they showed the clip from the episode and I can tell you it wasn't a B. smithi.

I lived there for two years and never heard of a native tarantula. The cane spiders get HUGE, they have amazing centipedes. One thing I missed, skunks! They don't have skunks or snakes.
