loved your t so much, that when your down to the last few £'s or $'s in the bank and payday isnt due for another 4 wks you will go without food and your choc fix, to keep your money just incase your t wants extra crickets??

also:
I was so ill the other week, really needed to put petrol in my car to go get my presciption from docs to get my tramadol painkillers. i was in agony but i refused to waste my money on petrol and instead sent my boyf out into the cold with the money to get extra crickets incase my babies got peckish, we already had plenty there, but you never know.

I hope to avoid that issue all together. I ordered 8 Turkestan Roaches with my 5 T's. I went to the local pet store and bought 2 dozen crickets. I will continue feeding crickets until my roaches have started having babies. Once my roach colony gets started, I plan on having a constant supply of food from that point on for my T's.

A well fed tarantula can go months without food and barely loose any weight in the process, so the point is kinda moot.

For Ts that must eat often, (slings) I have a mealworm colony.

Trust me I've done waaaaaaaayy worst. But I don't regret it one bit!

I just bought me a better camera to take pictures of my babies after saving for a while. I wouldn't even buy my morning coffee most mornings and went around like a zombie most mornings.

But I need to take better pictures of my babies since they grow so quickly...well...Brachys and Grammostolas...I guess not so quickly....but one day they won't be babies anymore, lol.

This current rehousing project is setting me back a crap-ton of coin!!!! I've been going without my beer, and coffee, and rationing my smokes for the last 5 weeks......but my bills, food, and transportation are still in good order. I will happily do without the extras for my T's, but there is no way I am going to compromise on my living and financial stability.

The T's are in good shape too....ordered some dubias that should be here this week, and keep me away from the pet stores for a while, LOL!!!

I wouldn't say I've necessarily gone without so my T's could be fed but... On more than one occasion I can remember going to the store to pick up IAMS cat food, squash, apples and mushrooms for my roaches and a microwave dinner for myself... :wall:

Don't need to. My waxworm population exploded (I bred them and now I already have pupae again!!) and I found hundreds of cricket eggs in the storage bin, so I'm good for all my insectivores.
