I'm interested in keeping smaller species, wondered if anyone has opinions on them and if you have found a really nice enclosure that will keep them because of their size? I think I found one that they can't squeeze out of but I wanna see if any of you have had experience with them. :D

Hi, I just came across your post while searching for similar information and was wondering how you made out!

I caught a couple of these little guys today and made them short-term enclosures with some small, clear containers and rigged up some covers with fine mesh, for ventilation. I’m already seeing the problem with this, as one of them has spun a sleeping web (as I doubt it instantly decided to molt), and part of it is connected to the screen.

I’m not going to take any chances with moving the screen top until I’m sure, but what a foolish beginner move it was to set up their homes this way. I’d love to know how yours did and would appreciate any tips! Thank you!

P.S. I’m going to release them back to the yard after a day or two if they don’t appear to be healthy and eating.

I kept one for a few days but decided to release it because fruit flies are pretty expensive compared to crickets where I am.
