Hard Loss

I just went out to feed our three dogs and found my oldest dog dead. I haven't a clue what killed Chester, he's lived outside his whole life, 7 or so years of which was with us after he was his by a car a long time ago. We gave him water and food when he was left to die by his former owners and kept him ever since. This morning he was laying on the porch as normal, wagging his tail and everything, but I went out to get his food dish and found him. He's never been the most energetic dog ever, but he was always friendly despite his "mean" appearance. I'll miss him.

Oh god, I am so very sorry to hear that. It is always hard losing an animal nevermind one that you not only care for but befriend. My dog is 7 now, little Zorro, a black miniature Schnauzer who was the runt of the litter, but when we went jumped into my lap and tried to eat my shoelaces. Since then we've always had him. I am so sorry for your loss; if I were in your position than I wouldn't know what to do never mind want to converse or talk about it with others. I hope you find comfort Pategirl, my condolences.

Oh man, I am so sorry. I got my dog when I was 2 1/2 and he was about 3 months or less. So as soon as we were aware of our existances we had each other. He died 6 years ago when I was 17. Old age. But still every day(literaly) I miss him still

I am really sorry that is almost as bad as loosing a human loved one.

I am very soory to hear of your loss. I recently lost a dog of 10 years and it is so tough. Do whatever you must to heal.

Im so sorry about your buddy passing. I know how you feel, its a horrible feeling. My thoughts are definitly with you. *hugs* By the way, I think he had a cute face.
