finally its here!!!! i wanted to wait till my actual bday but wanted pick of the bunch too! i got my g. pulchr today from my LPS. 29.99 for a sling.
i have had no previous experience with T's so dont make fun of my setup if its not up to par. i used just SLIGHTLY moistened coco fibre for bedding and put a rock and half of a pot in there. what do you think?

Congrats and welcome!

That's a pretty good looking setup too. Just a tip: If she starts exploring and accidentally falls on that rock, she will be hurt. You could add a few handfuls of substrate to the tank, which will serve two purposes... 1. If she falls, she won't have far to fall and therefore, won't get hurt. 2. Extra substrate could be used to bury the rock a bit, in order to reduce it's surface area, reducing the chance that she would land on it.

Enjoy your new little one!

Happy Bday, and welcome to both the hobby and the forum!

I've not kept that species myself, so i'm not sure about it's specific requirements, but you might look into putting a water dish in there for him. Tiny slings will drink from water droplets in their enclosure, but bigger slings and adults will actually drink from a bowl. :D

You'll want something small enough that he can't fall in and drown- some people even put small rocks in the water dish to avoid this.

thanks to all for the bday wishes and nice words. i am thrilled to have this spider. it seems as though they are highly sought after. my LPS actually had about 6-8 of them in stock after i purchased mine. here are pics of more soil added and rock submerged more. i'll add a bottle cap dish for water as well.
