So I have my Halloween moon crab tanks next to my hermit crab tank, and at night it sounds like one of the three may be making chirping sounds. I assumed the hermit crabs were because I've heard of that before. However I was misting one of moon crabs enclosures today and I'm pretty sure the chirping sound was coming from there. Does anyone have any long term experience with these crabs because I can't find anything online about whether or not they chirp. Thanks in advance!

I don’t think crabs can vocalize. Possibly some escaped crickets that got in there?
Do you mean the Halloween moon crabs (gecarcinus quadratus) specifically because I don't know much about different crab species but I do know that hermit crabs (paguroidea) do make "chirping" sounds but using their shell so it would sense if the moon crabs were unable to make sound. Just trying to get as much detailed info out of knowledgeable people that i can because it's hard to find it online!
