Does anyone have advise on establishing a H. cerberea in the melaleuca trees that they naturally inhabit? The female I have keeps burrowing into the substrate. I am going to try giving her a bigger enclosure with a chunk of cut melaleuca to try again. Is it worth maybe trying a shallower substrate?

Definitely try some native wood types, keep substrate same height as a normal burrowing species as these will just as readily dig underground as they will use trees
