H. longimanus tail coloration

Is the coloration of it's tail supposed to look like this? It looks like it was slightly powdered.

I don't know, i just got it yesterday from a local seller.

Not a problem. You can try contacting the vendor and inquiring to confirm. It does look freshly molted though. Give your scorp time and try to not disturb it, as it can injure itself if it gets stressed and tries running. After about a week or two, maybe a bit longer depending on size of the scorpion and ambient humidity you can try offering food. Keep water dish topped up.

Just leave it alone it may molt very soon thus the tail's discoloration. Be sure to keep the substrate 100% semi-moist. And temps between 75F-85F range. Once it molts it will recover its proper coloration again. Be sure to give it at least a week for the exoskeleton to fully sclerotize again.
