Im planning on moving my cobalt into one of those exo terra glass terrariums with the glass doors on it (obviously im doing something with the screen top so mrs angry won't get caught in it), and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on the substrate. I have a bag of vermiculite and what was sold to me as sterile potting soil ( peat, spaghnum and dirt mix)....what I want to know is does anyone who keeps this species have a recommendation on the soil mix like a ratio or something?

Also should I add some sand in the mix so it holds together a little better?

Personally, I don't think an exo-terra is a good choice of tank, considering the depth of strate this species should ideally have. The strate would come up higher than the bottom of the doors by far. A 5-10 gallon fish tank would be the better choice. Not as asthetically pleasing to the keeper, but more in line with proper conditions for the lividum.

Exo-terras are great for arboreal Ts, not so great for terrestrial Ts, especially obligate burrowers like H liv.

Most of that tank should be full of dirt, like other people are saying. A tank where most of the front of it is made of doors is a terrible match for a burrower.
