I bred pair of H. incei about a month ago. She ate for a week and then webbed an elaborate looking entrance to her burrow. About 2 weeks ago she sealed herself underground. Me being the curious type and notbeing able to spy on her I removed the cork bark covering the burrow and seen her at the bottom of a finger deep hole clutching a small marsmallow sized egg sac. I though it happened pretty fast but researching I found it is common. I only know when she webbed in but not the exact day shemade the sac. How long with this species would it take for the spiderlings to reach 1st instar? I want to pull the egg sac before they hatch but I wan to leave them with the mom for as long as possible.
