Hi guys.

When I came home from work today, I found one of my 3/4" A. metallica slings laying on the bottom of it's vial... all curled up. It molted about 1.5 weeks before, and it hasn't molted anytime since I got it, about 3 months ago... It hasn't eaten anything since its molt.
I have 1 left now, who also didn't want to molt, but it's legs are darkening a bit, I hope this one will make it! I improved the ventilation of his vial a lot, and moved him to a somewhat cooler spot...

Aw well, as they say, some of the tiny ones just aren't meant to make it...

Sorry to hear about the loss Dennie, it always stinks losing a T. Hopefully your other one will live long and healthy.

Yes, I hope so too...

I have already ordered some new spiders to kinda compensate the loss of this tiny one. I will keep you updated on that.

But for now, I'm expecting that second A. metallica to molt within 2 days, then I will find out soon enough if he will make it...

Erkkk

The only spiders I've had troubles with are H.maculatas, I've had 2 of those die on me (spiderlings) :/

My metallica though seems tuff as ol' boots :S Maybe you went a bit overboard with the heat or water? Or chances are, it was destined to croak - spiders have masses of offspring to compensate this, unfortunately you may of got a weakling
