well i've decided to take the plunge into something i've wanted to do for a while...i've decided to get my first Chondro!:)

i'm going to be moving into a new house soon and it's going to open up some space for me to put a nice display case and i've decided to get a CB Aru baby to fit the bill...i want to make a nice naturalistic setup for the little guy (or girl!) and i was hoping someone here might have some pics to give me some ideas...

also if anyone can recommend a good wood to use for snake perches i'd welcome the advice...i was thinking crepe myrtle because it's smooth and non toxic but if anyone can suggest something else i'm open to other ideas:)

thanks a bunch:)

I'll be getting one of these guys too. Hopefully in the next year. I've been checking out set ups, but there really aren't that many pictures online. I saw some nice ones at a reptile show last year but they weren't naturalistic. Basically, just a plexiglass box with a clear tube in the middle for the snake to sit on. Looked cool but I'm really into creating natural looking habitats.
I'm going to a reptile show next week and I'll take some pics if they have any good set ups for GTPs.

There is a thread on here already titled GTP Set-Ups or maybe GTP vs. ETB somthing along those lines. Lots of good pics on there do afew searchs and see if you can find it. I keep my chondros in 30x30x30 arboreal neodesha's, i love those cages. Aru is a good choice I have one very high white female.

thanks chondro...i had tried a search but i must have used the wrong terms...i found the thread you were talking about and those acrylic cages look really nice...i also like those neodeshas you mentioned but i can't seem to find a retailer for them...i saw some used ones though so i may end up getting some of the terrestrial variety for my womas and bloods...they're cheaper than vision cages hehe...

i think i might try to get one of those acrylic custom jobs like the pics on that other thread...those rocked:)

thanks:)

Neodesha whent out of business thats probably why you cant find a retailer for them. I have Visions to but i like the neo's better, I think the acrylics look nice but I'd scratch them up probably. Just dont try useing dirt and live plants and that whole route, well you can but its alot harder to clean!
