To those who still remember my Poison Ivy from a couple of years back, she's still alive, flicking and striking lol

Her enclosure had a secret colony of red ants residing on the substrate so i had to clean it asap.

She wasn't obviously happy about the idea

It only took me 17 minutes to dump the soil, wipe the glass and put everything back in haha

Yes, she is grumpy indeed!

Happy Monday to you guys! :)

Snerk. I dare anybody to pronounce that name right: Ahaetulla nasuta
Doesn't take much, just proximity to humans, to make them very grumpy. Speaking from several tries personal experience, absolutely impossible to hook. Since they live up in thin branches and twigs most of the time, a hook is a high traction highway. Glad you spotted the ants in time.

A woman I knew had a boa constrictor like that, named Ruby. She was perpetually PO'd at everything around her, and would literally strike the glass of her cage repeatedly whenever someone came in the room. Really nasty temper, but she grew on us.

This one generally calm and hasn't bit me even once. I have another one slightly longer than this and is yellow :D

This would be the first time that she made a defense pose on me

I would like to know how this animal is treated, it's environment and any other details that might be relevant. From repeated encounters with these in the wild, they are ALWAYS grumpy. They normally try to escape but won't hesitate to do the threat pose as pictured. I've seen them near roads in the threat pose just from passing cars and motorcycles, or me on my bike. So I'm wondering what has changed.

man the green on that snake is gorgeous!
It's interesting that the snake is entirely that green color without any markings whatever. When assuming the threat posture it swells it's body starting at the head to reveal dermal interstices running in a spiral down the length of it's body of very dark green and white. When hooking these off the road they take affront and the markings appear just behind the head. As I keep my clutzing going they extend farther and farther until, really pissed off, they extend all the way past the vent.
